What is a Look Preview

This is a trial for your wedding hair and/or makeup look done 1-2 months before your wedding.
In your Look Preview we will:

• begin with a thorough consultation for your hair and/or makeup look
• look at inspiration pictures of hair/makeup looks that you like and we will discuss how to customize a look for you
• take time to make adjustments to the look so that we finish with a result that you love and makes you feel true to your vision of yourself

How to Prepare

What to Bring and Wear

• Bring inspiration pictures of your desired makeup and hair look
  • If you have a few different looks you are debating, bring pictures of everything and we will discuss each one to narrow down your vision
  • Sometimes finding inspiration pictures can be a challenge, see some tips for starting your search here
• Bring head pieces, accessories, veils, or hair extensions
• Wear a white top or a similar color to your wedding outfit
  • A top with minimal patterns is best to keep the focus on your makeup and hair

Hair Preparation

• Hair should be washed and blow-dried smooth the night before or the morning of your appointment
• To utilize natural wave/curl pattern, style and dry hair as normal with preferred products to achieve desired curl definition and I will utilize tools and hair products to refine your texture for your hairstyle
• If you are using clip-in hair extensions, be sure to gently wash, condition, and blow dry the extensions before your appointment

Skin Preparation

• Come to your appointment with a freshly washed face with no traces of makeup
• We will do customized skincare before your makeup application

What to Expect

Your Hair Look Preview

• Your hair will be prepared with professional styling products and hot tools. Hair padding or clip-in extensions may be added to the hair for more fullness and length
  • NOTE: clip-in extension must be provided by the Guest of Honor- I can provide a list of where extensions may be purchased

Your Makeup Look Preview

• Your makeup application includes customized skincare preparation and false lashes
• On your wedding day your makeup application will include a touch-up kit with your custom lip color, blotting sheet, setting powder, lip/powder applicators, Q tips, bobby pins, and mini lash glue

Things to do Afterward

• Wear your look throughout the day and take selfies in different lighting
• Try on your wedding outfit, if you have it available, to see the complete look
• Make note of anything you would like adjusted such as darkening the eyeshadow color, adding more blush, or having a matte lip color instead of gloss
• Send me an email with any changes you would like to see on your wedding day or let me know on the day of your wedding
